I am so grateful for my ancestor James Glade who was the first Glade to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and come to America from England. My ancestors have lived in the Glade’s of Yarcobe, Devonshire, and Wambrook for centuries. Through one of many miracles of family history work I share this ancestor with many people some of whom are friends to our family. People like Aaron and Manda Tyler who I met on my mission and had the opportunity to help teach Manda the gospel. Others like John and Kassandra Wessman where Kassandra grew up with my wife Shannon and have been friends to this day. Chris Spencer who was in a singles ward with me and who’s son Will is good friends with my son Christian. I have a very strong connection to family history and have seen so many amazing things from studying the lives of my ancestors. I invite you to look to the past and discover your ancestors that are waiting to get to know you. Below is a video that was created almost 30 years ago about James Glade and his decedents created by the Wessman side of the family. It’s a bit dated but very informative and something that I grow up with appreciating.
Castle Clinton in Manhattan, NY in the Summer of 2007. This is where James Glade first landed in America. Being here was a very spiritual and powerful experience.
I'm a family man that after many years of working in candy, marketing and finance have left it all to help support my family at home. With the help of my amazing wife Shannon, I am able stay home and raise my two sons Christian and Gavin along with my daughter Addison. This website and blog has allowed me to share many of my great experiences and knowledge through the eyes of a stay at home dad.
